Brewed for speed, served by humans

A working tool in 14 days. From the people building it.

Most software projects rot in roadmap purgatory. We don't do that. You'll be using a real, working tool by your second sprint — and when you message us about it, you're messaging the person writing the code. No account managers. No offshore relays.

What we brew for you

Four things we do, well.

We're a small team, and we say no to a lot. These are the engagements where we know we can ship something genuinely useful — and where decades of building enterprise software actually shows up in the work.

Bespoke

Custom web apps & customer portals

When the SaaS doesn't fit and the spreadsheet is screaming for help. We build internal tools, customer-facing portals, and admin dashboards that match how your business actually runs — not how some software company in California thinks it should.

A Manila-based property management firm went from 3 separate Excel files per tenant to a single portal where tenants pay rent via GCash, file maintenance requests, and chat with admin.Read more →
Most-requested

Workflow automation & AI

Replace the spreadsheet shuffle, the copy-paste-from-email-into-CRM, the Friday-night reconciliation. We automate the boring parts of your business — with AI baked in where it earns its keep — so your team can do the work you actually hired them for.

A Quezon City e-commerce site was retyping receipts from sari-sari stores into their books. The AI now reads the photo, extracts the line items, and posts to QuickBooks. 6 hours a week, gone.Read more →
Crafted

UI/UX design

Design that respects your users' time. We sweat the small stuff — the empty states, the error messages, the form that's just one step too long — because that's where most software loses people. Whether you need a full product redesign or just a single screen that's been bugging you for months.

A Makati-based food delivery startup was losing 40% of orders at checkout. One redesigned flow later — fewer fields, clearer pricing in pesos, GCash front and center — completion went up 28%.Read more →
Strategic

Fractional CTO & technical advisory

Already have a developer or a vendor? We can plug in as your senior technical partner — review architecture, untangle a stalled project, hire your first engineer, or just be the person you call before signing a six-figure SaaS contract.

A Davao-based logistics company almost signed a ₱2M/yr POS deal with a foreign vendor. One audit later, they shipped their own — built around their actual barangay-level routing — for a fraction.Read more →
SME-friendly · Pay in installments

Built for small-to-medium businesses — including the budget.

We get it — capex is tight for SMEs. So we settle in easy installments, broken down across project milestones. No giant upfront cheque, no compromise on quality. Same enterprise-grade output, paid in pieces that fit your cash flow.

Why us, why now

A new company.
Old hands at the wheel.

We know “founded in 2025” sounds like a risk. So let's be honest about what's new, and what isn't.

The company is new. The peoplearen't. Our small core team spent the last decade together, growing a startup from a small product into a multi-million-peso operation — running ops, writing the code, and learning exactly which corners cannot be cut.

BarakoTech is what happens when you take that experience and put it under your own roof, with no managers to answer to and no shareholders to spook. Just a small team that likes building software well, for businesses that need it most.

What's new
The company
Barako Technologies, Inc. — registered 2025 in the Philippines. Small team, one shared workspace, far too much coffee.
What isn't
25+ years of combined experience
Across the team: 15+ years in full-stack, cloud, and cybersecurity (with active leadership in the PH open-source community), plus 10+ years in IT project management, ops, and business development. Engineers, designers, and operators who've all shipped real software at scale.
What we did before this
A decade of building, together
Our core team worked side-by-side at the same SaaS company for nearly 10 years. Helped grow it from a small product into a multi-million-peso operation. Shipped to thousands of enterprise users. Then we left to do this.
Why now
Software that doesn't outsource you
In 2026, your business shouldn't have to rent its tools by the seat or wait six months for a vendor to ship a feature. We can build what you need, you can own it, and we'll be here when it needs to grow.
The team behind it

A small team. On purpose.

We're a tight crew — engineers and designers who've worked together for nearly a decade. Small enough that you'll know us by the second call. Experienced enough that we've shipped enterprise software to thousands of users.

Operations & Strategy
Part of the small core team

Industrial engineers, project leads, the people who keep things on the rails.

Backed by 10+ years of running projects, ops, and business development inside software companies. They translate between your team and ours — catching the things engineers don't think to ask, and making sure what we build actually fits how your business runs. Workflows-as-systems thinking, not just diagrams on a slide.

Engineering & Design
Part of the small core team

Full-stack engineers, designers, the people writing the code and sweating the pixels.

15+ years across web, mobile, cloud, cybersecurity, and product design. Active contributors in the Philippine open-source community. Hands-on-keyboard from day one, not delegating it down a chain. We like problems that look unsolvable on Monday and obvious by Friday.

“We left a comfortable job because we kept seeing small businesses pay enterprise prices for software that didn't quite fit them. BarakoTech is our attempt to fix that — one workflow at a time, for people we actually know by name.”

— The BarakoTech team

How we work

Four steps. No surprises.

We've built enough software to know that the surprises are where projects die. So we structured our engagement to remove them.

A free 30-minute call
You tell us what's slowing your team down. We tell you whether we can help — honestly. If we're not the right fit, we'll point you to who is. No deck, no pitch, no follow-up sequence.
A small, scoped first build
We start with one workflow, one screen, one painful thing. Two weeks, fixed price, working software at the end. If you don't like what we shipped, you don't pay for the next one.
Iterate with your team
We ship updates weekly, in your Slack or email. You give feedback, we adjust. No ticket portals, no quarterly business reviews — just our team, your team, and the work.
Hand it over (or stay on)
When it's done, it's yours — code, infrastructure, documentation. Most clients keep us on a small monthly retainer for new features and quiet maintenance. Some don't. Both are fine.
Honest answers

Things you're probably wondering.

It depends on the scope, but we believe in fixed-price engagements. A small first build (one workflow or one screen) usually lands between ₱150k–₱400k. Larger custom apps run from ₱600k upward. We'll quote in writing after the free call — no surprise invoices.
Free, 30 min, zero obligation

Tell us what's slowing you down.

One call with our team. We'll listen, ask annoyingly specific questions, and tell you straight whether we can help. No deck. No follow-up emails for six months. Just a conversation, and probably a strong opinion or two.
